Flight 4 Lives Ready to Depart in December
Chris and Corrine McLaughlin plan to depart Nantucket by mid-December, and be in Florida by the week of Christmas. Their Cessna is ready to go, and only some final coordination with Argentine authorities concerning a 250 NM side trip to the Falkland Islands (east of the Argentinean mainland) remains to be accomplished. Everything else appears to be set for their epic trip to raise awareness for human organ donations and transplants, a concern that saved Chris's life a couple of years ago.
They've garnered help and support for their trip from some familiar names. Some of their supporters include Beacon Equity Partners, Jeppesen, Rosen Sunvisor Systems (for aircraft), Datatoys.com (video and audio recorders), Signature Flight Support (FBOs), AOPA, and Air Journey (flight tours and management). The couple were very adamant to point out that their corporate support will be used for their flying operation, but any individual monetary donations (which can be made through a link on their web site listed below) will all go to organ donor and transplant research and operations through King's College Hospital in London England. You can learn more about their trip and sponsors at: www.Flight4lives.com. You can email them at: chrisflight4lives@gmail.com and/or corrineflight4lives@gmail.com.
Look for an update on their progress to the tip of South America right here in the Atlantic Flyer next month.
